Iran Press/Iran News: During the phone conversation with Mohammed Haneef Atmar is Acting Minister-designate of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on Sunday, Mohammad Javad Zarif stressed the establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan, as well as boosting bilateral cooperation.
Zarif also emphasized the need for unity between the various groups in Afghanistan, the establishment of peace and stability in the country, as well as the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Mohammad Javad Zarif also held separate telephone conversations with Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah on Tuesday last week to discuss issues of mutual interest, as well as the latest political situation in Afghanistan and the disputes in the country after the recent presidential election.
The Chief Executive's office was established in 2014 in a power-sharing agreement negotiated to solve an election crisis involving Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah. Ghani became president, and Abdullah became chief executive.
In the recent election, Ghani was named the winner by the Independent Election Commission, but Abdullah claimed victory, and both men held inauguration ceremonies on Monday.
However, the international community has publicly acknowledged Ghani's inauguration and called for unity between the two.
