In spite of his brilliant performance , Iran’s representative Mokhtar Dehqan at Malaysia’s 60'th international Quran competition received the second titles among all other participants.
The result came after 4 nights of high tension contests with other 24 peers in male reciters' section who have also participated in Malaysia's 60th international Quran contest.
In the closing ceremony of the international contests The Iranian representative was highly praised and honored and handed his award by the Malaysian king present at the event. In Fact The closing and award presentation ceremony was officiated by Malaysia’s King Sultan Muhammad V, on Saturday (May 12).
However most of the participants admitted that the Iranian recitor's job was splendid.
in the closing ceremony Dehghan's performance which came as the last one astounded every one.
Being interviewed Dehghan mentioned he expected to win the first title how ever he said he accepts what |God has bestowed upon him and interprets it as the best choice for him .
The Malaysian reciter came as the first winner of Malaysia's 60th international Quran contest ,Abdullah Fahmi Bin Che Nor according to Jury' s vote.
And representatives of Algeria ,Egypt and |Indonesia came as the third, to fifth titles respectively however most of the participants still admired great voice and performance of the Iranian reciter.
The female memorizers and reciters were also handed their own prizes.
Malaysia’s 60th international Quran competition kicked off on May 7, 2018 and wrapped up on may 12 2018
Iranian reciters have won the first titles for the consecutive 11 years in previous editions of the same events.
