Tehran (IP) - Spokesperson for Iran's Customs Office Ruhollah Latifi said that the volume of trade between the Islamic Republic and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has reached more than two billion and 112 million dollars since October 27, 2019.

Iran Press/Iran news: Spokesperson for Iran's Customs Office Ruhollah Latifi Latifi said on Monday 1 June that about $ 584 million of Iran's total trade with Eurasia is related to exports, adding that Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan were among Iran's main export destinations. Latifi also noted that fresh apples, fresh and dried pistachios, natural gas, fresh kiwi fruit, and dried grapes are among the 20 main export items of Iran.

Simultaneously as Iran joins the Eurasian Economic Union, in more than 700 items of Iranian exports to member states, tariffs were reduced by about 80 percent as a first step.

Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan are currently five members of the Eurasian Economic Union.
