IP - Ezzatullah Zarghami, Iran's Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, announced that Iran’s tourism has increased 3 times the global average growth after the coronavirus pandemic.

Iran PressIran news: On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of Iran’s tourism projects, Zarghami in response to Iran Press question regarding the rate of growth of foreign tourists and the Ministry's plans to attract as many foreign tourists added: We are trying to increase the correct tourism capabilities.

Zarghami informed about the existence of some problems in the field of foreign tourism and the efforts of the ministry to solve them and added: The greatest thing that the current administration is doing in the field of tourism is to create changes and support tourism. 

Zarghami pointed to the problems with the Republic of Azerbaijan and its effects on the decrease in the number of tourists and said: the number of tourists from the Republic of Azerbaijan before the political behavior of the country and the disconnection of the land connection was about 1 million 800 thousand people per year and after the disconnection the number of tourists in that country decreased by 10%.

Regarding the cancellation of visas with some countries, especially the neighboring countries, Zarghami said: Fortunately, with the continuous follow-up that we have done, the cancellation of visas, especially with the five specified countries, has worked.

The priority is given to neighboring countries, and the first action was done last week with Russia, he concluded.
