Tehran (IP) - 14,750,000 tons of freights transited through Iran's territory by the Iranian and foreign fleets in 2023 is the highest record during the previous years, according to Javad Hedayati, the director-general of Transit and International Transportation Bureau at Iran’s Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization (RMTO).

Iran PressIran news: The performance of previous years regarding the volume of road transit shows that the highest record was in 2015 with a transit of 12,300,000 tons.

The transit of non-oil goods amounted to 9,400,000 tons in 2023, which has grown by 38% compared to 2022, Hedayati added. 

Hedayati also announced that transit of oil products reached 5,035,000 tons which has increased by 112% compared to 2022.
