Tehran (IP) - The Iranian President emphasized that justice and fairness are fundamental principles of religion, highlighting that all prophets aimed to establish justice in society, suggesting that by adhering to principles of justice and fairness in our societal actions, we can overcome any obstacles.

Iran PressIran news: President Masoud Pezeshkian at the closing ceremony of the 15th International Farabi Festival on Tuesday stated that society's problems can be solved by choosing the right path and dealing honestly with people, adding, "The challenges faced by contemporary society, be they social, moral, or behavioral in nature, stem from a lack of understanding and proper implementation of effective educational methods. Merely issuing orders and prohibitions is insufficient to bring about meaningful change in individuals."

Pezeshkian pointed out that in order to improve, we must choose to move in the right direction, adding: "By embracing the pursuit of personal improvement and excellence, overall progress can be achieved. Scientists and humanities scholars have the potential to address societal issues and promote ethical standards through the application of science and knowledge. Their expertise and understanding can facilitate the integration of truth within society, offering guidance to leaders and policymakers, and actively participating in problem-solving and implementation efforts."

The President added: "Ethnic disparities exist due to the disregard of one ethnic group by another. Employee protests often stem from a lack of merit-based promotions, where favoritism and personal connections take precedence over competence. This unjust practice hinders deserving individuals from advancing in their careers."

Noting that the principles of religion are not to be imitated and that Muslims must understand and comprehend justice, Pezeshkian added, "Justice cannot be replicated. When one oppresses another, the oppressed party comprehends the injustice, leading to disbelief and non-acceptance of the oppressor. Islam does not condone unfairness or disregard for the rights of others; rather, it advocates for the implementation of truth, justice, and fairness. By operating with fairness and ensuring equitable treatment for all, societal harmony can be achieved without issue."

The President emphasized: "By upholding principles of fairness and justice, ensuring individuals are placed according to their merit, and avoiding the dominance of the unqualified over the qualified, society can mitigate prevalent issues. Respecting individuals based on their abilities and roles can lead to a harmonious society, potentially transforming the country into a utopia."
