Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi, upon his arrival at the Sanandaj airport on Thursday morning, said: "Kurdistan is the province of martyrs, veterans, and proud figures not only for Kurdistan but also for Islamic Iran, and today the security of this province owes to the efforts of men and women who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the security in this province while paving the ground for development."
Raisi pointed to the first round of his trip to Kurdistan province and said: "In the first round, the needs were identified and projects were started in various parts of the province, many of these plans have been implemented and we can announce to the people that these projects have been carried out by indigenous youth and qualified managers, a significant part has come to fruition and a part is also being implemented."
The President stated:" In the second round, the ratifications of the first round have been followed up and the items that are among the priorities and must be done will be placed on the agenda."
He reminded: "In Kurdistan province, it has been determined to make progress materialized efficiently by deploying the efforts of the governor and administrators, the representative of the Supreme Leader, the Shia and Sunni scholars, the representatives of Parliament, and the military and law enforcement commanders along with the people."
On Thursday morning, upon his arrival in Sanandaj, the president was welcomed by the representative of the Supreme Leader in Kurdistan, the governor and a group of provincial officials.
The chief of staff of the president of Iran, the executive deputy and the ministers of the interior, culture and Islamic guidance, energy, cultural heritage and tourism, roads and urban development, agricultural jihad, and the head of the Department of Environment accompany the president on his trip to Kurdistan province.
Attending the opening ceremony of the Sanandaj-Hamadan railway, the opening ceremony of Saqqez airport, a public meeting in Sanandaj, a public meeting in Baneh, a meeting with clerics, economic activists and a press conference are among President Raisi's plans for his trip to Kurdistan.
Ebrahim Raisi traveled to Kurdistan province on July 17, 2022, in the first round of his trip. Last fall, the president visited this city on another trip to inaugurate the Azad Dam water transfer project to Sanandaj, and today's trip is his third trip in less than 18 months.
