Tehran-IP: Head of Iran's Department of Environment says that the surviving Iranian cheetah cub called "Pirooz', is hale and hearty and soon will be sent to Touran, Iran's wild zone.

Iran PressIran News: The Touran Biosphere Reserve is located in the Anatolian Iran deserts and comprises a variety of salt, gypsum, stone, and sandy habitats. It covers both clay lowlands and mountains and reaches altitudes of more than 2,200 m above sea level.

In response to Iran Press on the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, Ali Salajegheh also referred to the Siberian crane, which is flying to Iran and living in the Anzali wetland area, expressing hope to find a mate for it for breeding.

"Iran is also trying to fence the wildlife zones to protect them," Salajegheh added.

He reported that for the first time, "Damage Insurance" would be paid to those whose green lands were harmed by animals that flocked into.
