Masoud Pezeshkian on his first foreign trip as the President of Iran, will go to Iraq on Wednesday.

Iran PressIran news: The Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq, announced the news of Pezeshkian's trip to Iraq and said that strengthening the relations between the two countries in various political, cultural, economic, and security fields is one of the objectives of this trip.

According to Al-Sadegh, the visit of Iran's President to Iraq is taking place concerning the conditions and developments in the region and the issue of Gaza, as well as strengthening the relations between the two countries in various political, cultural, economic, and security fields.

He said: "Iraq is an important country in the region and special importance has been given to it in the foreign policy of Pezeshkian's government it because the Iranian President announced that neighboring countries are very important in his foreign policy."

Al-Sadegh added that Pezeshkian's trip to Iraq will end with the signing of memorandums of understanding, which are in line with the interests of the two countries.
The Iranian ambassador also stated that the president of Iran will visit the holy shrines after visiting Baghdad and holding official meetings, and if the conditions are met, he will probably visit Basra and Erbil as well.
