Iran's Parliament Speaker who arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday morning, for a two-day trip with the aim of developing bilateral relations, conferred with the President of the United Arab Emirates.

Iran PressWest Asia: In this meeting, the speaker of the Parliament of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, referring to the regional foreign policy as Iran's top priority, said: "The development of economic and political relations and the establishment of stable security between neighboring countries, especially with the countries of the Persian Gulf, are very important."

Following his visit to the UAE, Ghalibaf emphasizing the seriousness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to develop relations, added: "Iran intends to take a firm step for the future in all areas including developing the economy of the two countries in all dimensions, among which there are countless great opportunities."

While inviting the President of the UAE to visit Iran, Ghalibaf added: "The development of relations is especially important in the economic and security fields, and this matter is more serious considering the conditions of the region, Eurasia and BRICS, which the two countries have recently joined."

The geographical location is an opportunity to turn Iran and the UAE into a major economic hub of the world

The Speaker of Iran's Parliament stressed: "Considering the geographical location of Iran and the UAE, the two neighbors can host the world's major economic hub, and this opportunity exists between the two countries due to bilateral relations and membership in BRICS."

The President of UAE Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, while appreciating the Islamic Republic of Iran for appointing an ambassador to the UAE, said: "This will develop relations between the two countries. and the two countries' situation as close neighbors of prompts us to always look for solutions for the all-round development of relations, and this trip gives more motivation to this issue."

The President of the United Arab Emirates also mentioned the long-standing relations between the two countries, adding: "Sometimes the international context causes the countries to take distance from each other and we have to find a solution to look towards closer proximity, in which the sending of the new ambassador of Iran to Abu Dhabi gives more motivation to the development of relations."

Before this meeting, Ghalibaf and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the Deputy Prime Minister of this country, held a meeting and exchanged views. 219
