Kabul (IP)- The special representative of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan affairs has officially started working as the new ambassador of Iran in that country.

Iran PressIran news: The Iranian Embassy in Afghanistan announced in a tweet, "Hassan Kazemi Qomi," The Iranian president's special envoy on Afghanistan affairs, has been appointed as the new head of mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, entered Kabul on Saturday and officially started to work.

Before this, "Bahador Aminian" was former Iran's head of mission in Afghanistan.

Since the return of the Taliban to power in August 2021 until now, Afghanistan has faced severe economic conditions due to the unwillingness of the international community to officially recognize the group and its refusal to cooperate with this country.

The living conditions of the Afghan people are severely in crisis, and the lack of financial resources needed to import basic goods like rice, barley, wheat, and corn, to Afghanistan as a result of shortage and the high price of food in the markets of this country, has endangered the Food security in Afghanistan. In this regard, human rights organizations warn about the humanitarian crisis caused by famine and hunger for millions of people in this country.
