According to Iran press news agency, the warplanes of the Zionist regime targeted the south of Damascus in the city of Aqraba (western Syria) on the airport road, a short distance from Sayeda Zeinab district.
As a result of these attacks, Saeed Alidadi, the military advisor of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, was martyred.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Defense Ministry said Israeli warplanes attacked several sites south of Damascus early Friday, causing material damage.
It said Syrian air defenses intercepted some of the missiles and prevented further damage, adding the attack came from the direction of the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
