An Iraqi Professor said Iran's Islamic revolution has had an impact all over the world, and not only in neighbouring Iraq.

Iran Press/Iran news: A Professor of Babylon university, Dhirgham al Khafaji in an exclusive interview with Iran Press news agency on Tuesday said: "At the time of revolution, there were many wrong things all over the world. The Islamic Revolution of Iran started to correct these wrong things around the world."

Speaking about the role of Iran's Islamic revolution in the world, and its impact on neighbouring Iraq, al Khafaji said Iran's Islamic revolution came to correct wrong things 'also on a human level, as well as the education system and everything else in life. That is the key characteristic of the Iranian revolution and why it is so important.'

He added: "I think Iran's revolution was not primarily for changing politics, it was for changing the mindset of the people, it changed the  education system - the way we teach in schools and universities. Specially I would like to speak about education, because I am a university professor."

The Iraqi Professor added: "Education is very important for people all over the world. For this reason, you can't say that the effect is just only in Iraq, it had an impact all over the world, because it was a human revolution, not a political revolution."

On 15 January 2019, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani emphasized that the Iranian nation will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on the streets of towns and cities with great enthusiasm, gusto, and delight.

Addressing a gathering of Shia and Sunni scholars in Golestan province in northeastern Iran, Rouhani added that the Iranian nation will resolutely respond to the United States and other arrogant powers on the national day of 22 Bahman (11 February 2019).  103/ 211 / 210
