Tehran (IP) - A ceremony to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran was held in the Malaysian capital in the presence of a group of Iranians.

Iran PressAsia: Forty-three years ago, on February 1, 1979, Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, returned to Iran after fifteen years of exile amidst a glorious welcome from the people.

Ten days after Imam Khomeini arrived in Iran, on February 11, 1979, the Islamic Revolution of Iran reached victory. For this reason, from the first to the 11th of February, it has been named "Dahe-ye Fajr" (10-day Dawn), and every year, special celebrations and ceremonies of the Islamic Revolution are held on these ten days.

On this occasion, and on the forty-third anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, a group of Iranians held a ceremony to commemorate the occasion in the Malaysian capital.

At the ceremony, Ali-Asghar Mohammadi, Iran's ambassador to Malaysia, referred to the efforts of some media outlets affiliated with global arrogance that aim to distort the revolution for the young generation, saying: "The victory of the Islamic Revolution was not the end of the process. Because it was a great battle that continues today."

Referring to the three fundamental principles of the Islamic Establishment, namely independence, freedom, and the Islamic Republic, the Iranian ambassador to Malaysia, added: "Today, the concept of independence is more understandable than in the past; because gaining scientific, economic, political and cultural independence is not something that any nation can achieve."
