Iran Press/ Europe: Iran's Reza Najafi referred on Thursday to the sanctions against Iran and told Fernando Arias that the sanctions have made it difficult for Iran's chemically-hurt veterans to access the necessary equipment and medicines.
He noted that the imposition of such sanctions is against the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention and international laws.
Najafi also appreciated Arias over the past efforts of the OPCW to provide the chemically-hurt veterans with full access to the relevant drugs and equipment and the neutralization of the sanctions, calling for the continuation of the efforts.
Reza Najafi has traveled to the Netherlands to participate in the 27th conference of member states of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
Iran is the biggest victim of the systematic use of chemical weapons in modern history.
