Tehran (IP) - In a video message, the Iranian government spokesperson expressed sympathy for the people of California who suffered damage and lost their homes following a massive fire.

Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to the massive fire in parts of the US state of California, Fatemeh Mohajerani stated: Humanity cannot remain indifferent to the destruction of the homes and natural resources of other nations, whether due to war or the violence of nature.

Stating that sympathy for one's fellow human beings is not exclusive to any part of the world, she emphasized: We sympathize with you, the people of California, who have been separated from your homes and safe living environment. We sympathize with you, whose homes and possessions were burned and destroyed. We sympathize with you, who have suffered from this devastating fire caused by extreme climate change.

Mohajerani reminded: We remember the sorrow of the displacement of thousands of people who were displaced by the selfishness and war-mongering of others and mourned. We believe deeply in this poem by the master of Persian poetry, who said: "The sons of men are members of one body, who are created from one gem; when time hurts one member, the other members are left with no tranquility."

The Iranian government spokesman continued: As the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced, we are ready to dispatch rapid response teams to extinguish fires and we hope that the homes of the world will always be bright, loving, and warm.
