Astaneh-ye Ashrafieh (IP) - The women and girls of Astana Ashrafieh of Gilan Province held a Fatimi gathering on the eve of the auspicious birthday anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra, the revered daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), at the tomb of Agha Seyyed Jalaluddin Ashraf.

Iran PressIran News: Young girls and teenagers along with their mothers had an active presence in this Fatimi community (meaning the followers of Hazrat Fatima Zahra). The long-lasting hymn "Hello Commander" was also recited in the Fatemiyoun congregation in Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh.

The pictures of the martyred commander Qassem Soleimani were displayed in this Fatimi gathering and the women and girls of Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh also honored the memory of this martyred commander.

The participants in this Fatimi gathering also emphasized observing the Islamic hijab.

The 20th of Jumadi al-Thani is the blessed birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (PBUH), the daughter of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), and this day is named Women and Mother's Day in Iran.

Seyyed Jalaluddin Ashraf's tomb is the most famous tourist-pilgrimage attraction of Astana Ashrafiya and throughout the year the followers of the Prophet of Islam's (PBUH) family travel to Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh to visit this shrine.

Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh is a city and capital of Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh County, Gilan Province, Northern Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 36,298, in 10,558 families. Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh is a major peanut, rice, silk, and fragrant medicinal herbs-producing city. It lies close to the city of Rasht and the Caspian Sea.
