On Monday night, in a conversation with his Qatari counterpart, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the duty of all Islamic countries is to support and defend the rights of the Palestinian people.

Iran PressIran news: In this conversation, Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated that the escalation of atrocities by the Israeli regime has made the situation in Palestine and the region more complicated. 

While condemning the crimes of the Israeli regime, Qatar's foreign minister said that his country has always supported the rights of the Palestinian people.

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani emphasized that Western governments should pressure the Israeli regime to stop its attacks as soon as possible.

The foreign ministers of Iran and Qatar emphasized the need for continued consultation and consensus among Islamic countries to support Palestine.

The Gaza-based resistance group Hamas launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against Israel early Saturday, firing a barrage of rockets. It said the surprise attack was in response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Quds and increased settler violence.

The number of Palestinians martyred by the Israeli forces in Gaza has risen to 560, the Gaza-based Health Ministry said on Monday amid ongoing fighting.

At least 700 Israelis have been killed and over 2,300 others wounded in the fighting, according to the Israeli Health Ministry.  219
