Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Ankara to discuss bilateral and regional issues with high-ranking Turkish officials.

Iran Press/West Asia: According to the Iran press news agency from Ankara, speaking upon his arrival at Ankara Airport, Abbas Araghchi referred to his meeting and detailed talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and said: "What was certain was the spirit of resistance and resistance of the Syrian government, army and people against this conspiracy, and the terrorist groups are miscalculating."

Emphasizing the comprehensive support of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the resistance groups for the Syrian government and people, Araghchi added: "Syria has gone through much more difficult times from terrorist groups such as ISIS, and these groups have finally been confronted."

Iranian Foreign Minister stated that Iran and Turkey have a common concern about the developments in Syria, and added: "Given the consensus in most areas and differences of opinion with Turkey in some cases, we hope to reach a common understanding that will bring stability to the region and prevent Syria from becoming the center of terrorist groups again."

Iranian Foreign Minister began trips to several countries in the region to review developments in the region and Syria.
