Damascus(IP)-  Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, has stressed that halting the crimes of the Zionist regime in Lebanon and Gaza requires a collective effort from the international community.

Iran Press/West Asia: Earlier this morning, Ismail Baghaei Hamaneh, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the arrival of a high-level delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in Damascus, the capital of Syria.

Uppon his arrival in Damascus, Araghchi stated that the most pressing issue of the moment is the ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza.

He noted that several initiatives have been discussed, and consultations are ongoing, with the hope of reaching a resolution.

"Our efforts are continuing, and we hope to reach an agreement with our friends in Damascus regarding the next steps," Araghchi added.

Moreover, Iran’s Foreign Minister explained that the purpose of his visit to Damascus is to continue consultations on regional developments, adding that prior to this, he had important discussions with Lebanese government officials and other key figures in Beirut, and has now come to Damascus for further talks with the Syrian government.

During this visit, Araghchi is scheduled to meet with senior Syrian officials to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
