Eshaq Jahangiri, Iranian First Vice President

Iran's First Vice President, Eshaq Jahangiri, has said revival of manufacturing and production is a top government priority.

Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to US sanctions against Iran, Eshaq Jahangiri promised to support entrepreneurs, industrialists to get through the current difficult conditions.

At a ceremony on entrepreneurship in Tehran on Tuesday, Jahangiri added: "In the current state of the country's economy and people's lives, if we can successfully manage production, fluctuation of exchange rates, and exports along with livelihoods, we will pass through the current conditions", IRNA reported.

Iran's First Vice President added: "The most important priority of the government in terms of exchange rate fluctuations is the provision of working capital for manufacturing units with the help of the banking system and we are trying to provide liquidity to manufacturing units.”

The senior government official said: "Entrepreneurship could help the country get through the constraints we currently face, even if we did not have sanctions and restrictions, we still need to create new horizons for the future of the country via supporting the youth with creativity and entrepreneurs."

He emphasized: "The enemies are looking for a dark and uncertain future for the country, but we can prevent this from happening together."

US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew Washington from the nuclear agreement in May and reintroduced sanctions on Iran in August.

The US withdrawal was met with worldwide criticism, particularly by other signatories to the international agreement. Britain, France, Russia, China, Germany and the European Union have stressed their compliance with the deal and their support for its proper implementation.
