Iran Press/ Iran news: The Spokesman of Iran's Customs Rouhollah Latifi said paying attention to the neighbors, bilateral or multilateral economic and political relations, and membership in regional agreements all contributed to the growth of Iran's trade relations.
In the last five months, Latifi reported, more than 9.1 million tons of goods worth about 7 billion dollars were exchanged between Iran and 9 member countries of the ECO.
Since its beginning on August 3, 2021, Ebrahim Raisi's administration put relations with the regional and neighboring countries on the agenda of its foreign policy.
Regionalism, the look-to-East approach, and participation in regional and international organizations and treaties such as the Shanghai Agreement and the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) are examples of the Iranian new foreign policies.
