Iran Press/ Iran News: The Iranian embassy in France on Thursday issued a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of General "Qassem Soleimani" and announced:
The assassination of this high-ranking Iranian official while on an official visit and carrying a political message for peace is a clear example of state terrorism, which, in addition to violating all known human principles and international norms has followed the sinister goal of creating crisis and tension.
Recalling the glorious and unique funeral of Lt Gen Soleimani, the Iranian Embassy in France stated: "This funeral served as a golden chapter of gratitude and appreciation of the people of Iran and other nations of the region for this unassuming and true peace fighter and today more than ever, services and sacrifices he has made in the fight against terrorism and extremism in the region is obvious to the world.
The statement concluded: "The international community and relevant international institutions are expected to unmask the violent and extremist face of the US government in full transparency and by setting aside double standards, and condemn the targeted terrorist act of this regime and holding accountable those who have criminally responsible for it.
