Iran Press/Asia: According to the Iran Press news agency from Islamabad, Brigadier General Qureshi and his delegation were welcomed by Pakistan's Ministry of Defense officials upon their arrival in Pakistan at Noor Khan Air Base.
One of the goals of this trip is to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the fields of security, border management, and the exchange of military and educational delegations.
Referring to the deep religious, cultural, and linguistic similarities between the two countries, Iran's deputy defense minister said: "We have good relations with Pakistan at various levels and we have always had close cooperation with Pakistani officials in the fields of defense and security. The purpose of this trip is to develop and strengthen relations between the two countries in these fields.
He also pointed to the joint efforts of Iran and Pakistan to deal with terrorist groups and added: "Fortunately, our coordination is at a high level and the two countries are fighting terrorist threats with good coordination. God willing, with the continuation of this cooperation, the borders of the two countries will become safe and stable borders, and both countries will benefit from this stability."
"Sardar Qureshi" also pointed to the importance of the Pakistan International Exhibition, which is scheduled to be held next week in Karachi, as an opportunity to strengthen defense, industrial, and technological cooperation between the two countries and stated: "This exhibition can create new ways for defense and technological cooperation. We intend to make maximum use of this opportunity and hope that these efforts will lead to the expansion of scientific and industrial relations between the two countries."
He hoped that cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in various fields, especially in scientific and industrial fields, would help in sustainable development and strengthen regional security. 204
