Iran Press/ Asia: The Iranian four-member team secured the championship title on Tuesday. The team, consisting of Nayer Gholizadeh, Zeynab Golshani, Armin Rahmatpour, and Pouria Jamali, delivered an outstanding performance to win the gold medal in the prestigious event.
This gold medal marks the first top podium finish for the Iranian delegation in this edition of the Asian Deaf Games. Before this victory, Iran had earned four bronze medals: one by Armin Rahmatpour in chess, one by Alireza Kermani in bowling, another by Maryam Khodabandeh in taekwondo, and the fourth by the national poomsae taekwondo team.
The success of Iran’s deaf chess team highlights the country's strong start in the ongoing games and raises hopes for more achievements in the coming days.
