Iran's anti-narcotics police shares experiences with Iraq

Tehran (IP) - The head of Iran's anti-narcotics police, in a meeting with the Iraqi director of anti-narcotics police, stressed the need to develop bilateral cooperation and exchange information.

Iran PressIran News: Brigadier General Majid Karimi, in a meeting with Major General Mazen Kamel Mansour, the Iraqi Directorate for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, stated: "The Anti-Narcotics Police of the Islamic Republic of Iran in areas such as combating transit and drug trafficking has achieved good results so that the discovery of 1150 tons of drugs by Iran in 2020 shows this fact."

Referring to the existing capacities of the Anti-Narcotics Police of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said: "The Iranian Anti-Narcotics Police has made significant progress in various fields, especially the training of dogs and a specialized drug laboratory, and declares its full readiness to cooperate with the Iraqi Anti-Narcotics Police and share the experience."

Major General Mazen Kamel Mansour, the Iraqi Directorate for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, while visiting the Iranian Anti-Narcotics Police exhibition, appreciated the countermeasures and extensive activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fight against narcotics.

He said: "We welcome the development of cooperation with the Iranian Anti-Narcotics Police and call for a memorandum of cooperation in various fields of counter-narcotics."
