Iran Press/ Iran news: Kazem Khavazi in the open session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly today (Tuesday) and in response to the question of the representative of Urmia regarding the lack of necessary support for the agricultural sector in various fields, said: "Today all agricultural activists in line with the Leader's will and they are trying to bring food security to the country."
"Despite all the problems that coronavirus has created for the country and the problems that sanctions have created in providing timely currency for the agricultural sector, we are witnessing the growth of the value added rate of the agricultural sector in the first 6 months of this year and reaching a positive growth of 4.4," added Iran' stop agricultural official.
The Minister of Agriculture Jihad further stated: "In the first nine months of 1398 Solar year (2019-2020), the total agricultural products we exported were 4,986,000 tons, but in the first nine months of this year, we exported 6,100,000 tons of agricultural products, both in terms of weight and It has also grown in value compared to last year."
He continued: "The total garden products that we exported in the first 9 months of 1398 were 645 thousand tons and in the first 9 months of this year we have exported 879 thousand tons of horticultural products. Regarding apples, in the first 9 months of 1398, we have exported 300 thousand tons and this year 403 thousand tons of apples. According to the Eurasia Agreement, Iran's apple exports to Russia have reached."
