Syria (IP) - The Acting Foreign Minister of Iran said he visited Syria to discuss the most important issue in the region and the world which is the war on Gaza.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The Iranian Acting Foreign Minister arrived on Tuesday in Damascus as the second destination of his regional tour, after leaving Beirut.

Ali Bagheri Kani said in a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mikdad on Tuesday, that he has visited Syria to discuss the ways to immediately stop the war on Gaza and bring humanitarian aid to the strip.

He called the Israeli regime the source of crime and said that other countries of the world have reached the conclusion that Iran and Syria reached years ago that the Israeli regime is the source of insecurity and instability in the region.

Bagheri Kani noted that the two countries believe that security and stability in the region depend on the non-interference of foreigners.

He put an emphasis on the fixed foreign policy of Iran in supporting Syria against terrorism and the West's pressures on Iran would never make Iran give up the policy.

He added that it was under the very pressure that Iran stood with the Syrian nation and government against the US-baked Daesh, and it was under the very pressure that it joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS.

And it was under the very pressure that Iran carried out the punitive Operation True Promise against the Israeli regime, Bagheri Kani noted.
