Tehran (IP) - A member of the Iranian Parliament's Energy Committee declared on Tuesday that the collaboration between Tehran and Moscow in the energy sector serves as a powerful rebuttal to sanctions imposed on Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking to the media, Mousa Mousavi emphasized that Iran and Russia are strategic partners, and their joint efforts in the energy field are mutually beneficial.

Highlighting the recent 17th Joint Economic Commission meeting between Iran and Russia in late February, Mousavi noted that such events play a crucial role in expanding bilateral relations across various sectors. He also praised the Raisi administration for prioritizing economic and energy diplomacy, citing an increase in oil exports, enhanced ties with neighboring countries, and a renewed focus on economic growth as promising signs for Iran's economy.

During the closing ceremony of the 17th Joint Economic Commission meeting in Tehran on February 28, Tehran and Moscow signed a total of 19 cooperation agreements. The event was attended by Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who serve as co-chairs of the commission.
