Tehran (IP)- A member of the Iranian Parliament's Energy Committee emphasized the importance of energy diplomacy for the growth of the oil and gas industry, highlighting Russia as a key strategic partner for Iran in this sector.

Iran PressIran news: Following the recent 17th Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission meeting in Tehran, Hossein Hosseinzadeh stated that Russia has the potential to assist Iran in developing oil and gas fields and increasing production.

Hosseinzadeh praised the positive gas cooperation between Iran and Russia, emphasizing Russia's status as a major gas exporter globally. He stressed the need for expediting the implementation of bilateral contracts to further enhance cooperation and boost oil exports.

During the closing ceremony of the 17th Joint Economic Commission, Tehran and Moscow signed 19 cooperation agreements, signaling a commitment to strengthening ties in various sectors, including energy. The MP expressed confidence that closer collaboration with countries like Russia will lead to increased oil exports and overall development of Iran's oil industry. 204
