Tehran (IP)- The vice president for legal affairs announced registering a lawsuit against the U.S. for its crime of assassinating General Soleimani.

Iran PressIran news: Vice-President for Legal Affairs Mohammad Dehghan said in a TV program that the case of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani is important for Iran and the opinions of international lawyers are also obtained in this case. 

The Vice president detailed the legal process, saying in September, the warning would be given to the U.S., and within six months, American officials should be invited to arbitration, in case they reject the invitation, Iran will register the lawsuit in the International Court of Justice.

Dehghan also added that the Court of Justice has given the U.S. a two-year period of time to compensate.

The U.S. has about 2 more months to register its final bill, as per Dehghan.

Dehghan also stated the activation of a case regarding the looting of Iranian nationals' property happened before the Islamic Revolution by the U.S.
