Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman has rebuked the US President Donald Trump's latest Persian tweet.

In reaction to Trump's tweet, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi wrote said on Sunday that the US president is not entitled to dishonor the ancient Persian language.

 

The late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani, who had traveled to Iraq on the official invitation of the Iraqi officials, was assassinated by the US air-raid in Baghdad on January 3, 2020, along with the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and 8 companions.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani traveled to Iraq on the invitation of the Iraqi government.

According to the US Department of Defense, Pentagon, US President Donald Trump issued the order of assassination.

Many countries have so far condemned the US terrorist act.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and Commander al-Muhandis were the prominent figures in fighting the US-backed terrorist groups including ISIS, in western Asia.

Meanwhile, the US re-imposed sanctions against Iran after in 2018 it unilaterally withdrew from the 20015 nuclear deal. In retaliation, Iran scaled back its obligations under the agreement.

Iran slammed new US sanctions as economic terrorism against its civilians targeting food and medical goods.
