Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli in a telephone call with his Turkish counterpart, expressed Tehran's readiness to provide its knowledge, experience, and achievements in the field of managing coronavirus at the regional and international levels, especially for "friendly and brotherly countries in the region."
Rahmani Fazli called coronavirus a global disease and hoped it would be an opportunity for cooperation, solidarity, exchange of experiences and rapprochement between the countries of the region.
Iran's Interior Minister explained to his Turkish counterpart Iran's efforts to control and manage COVID-19 disease and mobilization of all the country's facilities in this regard, the Interior Minister pointed to the role of the Ministry of Interior, governors and governors in creating coordination and success of programs such as the Social Distance Plan.
Regarding equipment containing COVID-19, he noted: "We currently produce enough health equipment and supplies, including diagnostic kits and respirators, inside Iran."
He also said: "Fortunately, our situation is much better now than before, and the disease trend in Iran is stable and declining."
In addition to exchanging views on the measures and experiences of the two countries in curbing the coronavirus disease, Rahmani Fazli and Soylu discussed other issues including the mutual cooperation on border security and fight against terrorism.
Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu also expressed satisfaction with Iran's success in controlling the coronavirus and stressed the need to exchange experiences and cooperation between the two countries in this regard. He also promised to follow up on the issues raised by the Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Turkish Minister of Interior expressed hope that with the end of the coronavirus crisis, face-to-face meetings between Interior Ministry officials on both sides take place in the near future.
