Tehran (IP) – Iran's foreign minister, at the news presser at the sideline of TDF 2022, said that we are ready to return to normal relations with Riyadh and reopen embassies whenever Saudi Arabia is prepared.

Iran PressIran News: Attending the press briefing on the sidelines of the 3rd edition of the "Tehran Dialogue Forum" (TDF 2022), Hossein Amir Abdollahian said: "The main focus of the Amman meeting is the political process in Iraq. At the same time, we will use this opportunity to discuss regional and international challenges with the heads of the region's countries who have been invited."

Iran's foreign minister said that the European foreign policy official would also be present in the Amman meeting in Jordan, and talks with European foreign policy officials, including Enrique Mora and Joseph Borrell, will be held.

Amir Abdollahiam underlined that the primary message of the Amman Meeting should be regional cooperation without foreign interference.

Stating that Tehran's talks with Saudi Arabia have been interrupted, Iran FM said: "Our talks with Saudi Arabia is official diplomacy. We are ready to return to normal relations and reopen embassies whenever the Saudi side is ready. The Saudi side must decide how to pursue a constructive approach towards the Islamic Republic of Iran."

"Amman Meeting is a good opportunity for us to complete these talks. I hope that considering the US approach in the last three months, we will see a change of approach and the American side will behave realistically," he said.
