(IP)-Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) spokesperson has reacted to the ongoing protests in Israel through a thread of tweets.

Iran Press/Middle East: Nasser Kanaani, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, took to Twitter to comment on the protests and stated, "We have been witnessing continuous protests, strikes, and demonstrations by hundreds of thousands of Israelis in the occupied lands for several months."

"These protests are being suppressed by the police who use modern tools while hiding statistics related to casualties, injuries, and arrests," Kanaani added. The spokesman further criticized the Western media empire for ignoring the repression and violence against protesters in Israel.

He also argued that these protests are portrayed (by Western media) as a symbol of democracy in the occupied territories while censoring the killing and oppression of Palestinians by Zionists.

Lastly, Kanaani criticized Western media for extensively covering even the most minor protests in non-Western allied countries while describing violence and destruction as protest and revolution under the pretext of defending freedom of expression and human rights.
