Iran Press/ Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Saturday, the Iranian senior MP Mohammad Javad Jamali said that the country in the fourth step of reducing its commitments to Iran's nuclear agreement 2015 known as JCPOA will pursue upgrading the enrichment centrifuges and nuclear propellants as well as the Arak and Fordo facilities.
He asserted that the scale-back measures were taken in response to the US and European parties' failing to their commitments under JCPOA.
He pointed out to US withdrawal from JCPOA in 2018 and said that the European sides were supposed to compensate the US violation, promising 11 commitments none of which they fulfilled.
"We had the prerogative to reduce our commitments to the JCPOA under its 26 and 36 articles, with the world acknowledged Islamic Republic of Iran's stances were totally logical," he said, adding: "For we practiced much restraint and gave the US and Europeans many chances, but they urge us to fulfill the commitments unilaterally".
Jamali said: "The US new sanctions -even construction and metal sanctions- against Iran in the past week along with the UK, France, and Germany's US-friendly stances on JCPOA, is indicative of the fact that they do not want to fulfill their commitments and pursue goals beyond that.
The senior MP stressed that in its previous three steps, Iran has shown that seriously pursues its reductive measures under JCPOA itself and that these are the US and Europeans that create hesitation. 207/219
