Mashhad (IP): Iran's Deputy Health Minister said that it has been decided to provide the infrastructures that the country may need in potential engagement with other similar viruses in the future

Iran Press/Iran newsSpeaking in the meeting of the Headquarters for the Prevention and Control of coronavirus in the province of Khorasan Razavi on Monday night, Iran's Deputy Health Minister, Qasem Jan-Babaei noted that the novel coronavirus is still not fully understood by researchers, adding: "Given the potential for the country to engage with other similar viruses in the future, it has been decided to provide the infrastructures that we may need in the future."  

Referring to the lifting of restrictions in the country, Iran's Deputy Health Minister said, "Like the gradual application of restrictions, their removal must be done gradually, and in any case, the effects of any removing restriction must be measured and then the next step is taken."

Jan-Babaei said: "Iran has been successful in managing the Coronavirus so far, and we are witnessing a declining trend in cases," he said, adding that "To get out of the coronavirus crisis, a step-by-step path is being taken to get to the point where the impact of the virus is minimized".

Also in the meeting, Governor of Khorasan Razavi province Alireza Razm-Hosseini said in this meeting that to gradually remove some of the restrictions imposed to curb the outbreak of Coronavirus, logical and decisive decisions must be taken.

"All officials in the province of Khorasan Razavi are working together to curb virus outbreak, and good communication has been established in the province to implement the instructions of the National Headquarters for Corona Disease Management," Alireza Razm-Hosseini added.

He stated that the outbreak of Coronavirus in Khorasan Razavi province was well managed, noting: "If the doors of the holy shrines in the country had not been closed according to the decision of the Headquarters for the Prevention and Control of Coronavirus, we would have witnessed a wider and more widespread outbreak of the virus."

Governor of Khorasan Razavi province stressed that for reopening the doors of Razavi holy shrine, the necessary considerations, including the health of the people and the observance of health protocols, must be taken into account. 212/ 104
