Iran Press/ Iran news: Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company, also known as ITMCO, manufactures tractors, trucks, auto parts, and diesel engines, with the leading site and headquarters in Tabriz, Iran. ITMCO is enlisted among the 100 Fortune companies of Iran.
On June 8th, 2023, Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi visited ITMCO. He unveiled the manufacturing of rice paddy tractors, engines for industrial tractors, and the heavy front axle of tractors.
Engineering director of the rice paddy tractor design in ITMCO Hamid Totonkoob said in an interview with IranPress reporter that the rice paddy tractor was designed less than two years and its construction was launched after the engineering approval.
Referring to the particular design of the newly manufactured tractor, Totonkoob called it "special and unique," bearing the advantage of lower weight and a higher height compared to other tractors.
He further announced entering 500 rice paddy tractors into the market in 1402, followed by other numbers the next year.
Technical expert of Tabriz Tractor Manufacturing Company Davoud Khanlari emphasized the necessity of heavy front axle of tractors with 150 mechanical horsepower for every country in an interview with IranPress reporter.
"The axle was previously purchased from Italy and China, but now Iran has indigenized its production," said the Iranian technical expert.
