Pakistan (IP) - Pakistan Federal Minister of Religious Affairs met with the head of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission and discussed the overall situation of the region and also Islamabad -Tehran relations.

Iran PressAsia: Senator Mohammad Talha Mehmood welcomed the Iranian MP, and the delegation accompanying him, on their arrival in Pakistan. 

On the occasion, Vahid Jalalzada congratulated the Federal Minister on assuming the portfolio of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, while expressing regret over the death of Mufti Abdul Shakoor. He promised to take steps to provide facilities for Pakistani pilgrims coming to Iran for visiting holy shrines.

He said: "Pakistan-Iran trade is the guarantee of the prosperity of the region and we have to further strengthen the bilateral relations."

The Iranian delegation also invited Pakistan's Federal Minister of Religious Affairs to visit Iran.
