Iran's FM:

Samarkand (IP) - Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's Foreign Minister, met with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar, on the sidelines of the meeting of Afghanistan's neighbors in Samarkand.

Iran PressAsia: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar is leading the Pakistani delegation in the 4th Meeting of the Neighbouring Countries of Afghanistan to be held in Samarkand tomorrow.

Iran's foreign minister considered the close cooperation between Iran and Pakistan regarding Afghanistan as a start to the promotion of trilateral cooperation and emphasized that both Iran and Pakistan are directly affected by developments in Afghanistan.

Dr. Amir-Abdollahian expressed his satisfaction with the opening of the  Polan (Iran) –Gwadar (Pakistan) transmission line in the near future, as well as the Pishin-Mand border market, and said that the implementation of these projects indicates the two countries have more capacities to cooperation.

Mrs. Hina Rabbani, for her part, explained Pakistan's view on regional cooperation through neighbors and termed it as a factor for progress, development, and prosperity in the countries of the region.
