Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Oil opened its office in Baghdad, the capital city of Iraq.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's representative of the oil ministry for Iraqi affairs, Abbas Beheshti says, said the office was opened to shore up the oil cooperation of the two countries in the energy area. 

There are also other offices to be launched in Basra and Kurdistan Region with an operational approach, while the office in Baghdad was opened to manage other offices. 

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani arrived in Tehran on Tuesday while leading a political-economic delegation to have consultations with the Iranian authorities.

Al-Sudani met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi upon his arrival and then met with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
