Iran Press/ Iran news: The traffic of cars from Iran to Iraq and vice versa was opened during the ceremony on Wednesday, with the first car entering the country from Iraq through the Shalamcheh border cross in Khuzestan, west of Iran.
Mohammad Hossein Soufi, the Director of Touring and Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran said in the ceremony that the traffic line will be opened in the six border zones of the country.
He said the project was opened in its beginning step from the Shalamcheh border in commemoration of the Abadan siege-breaking anniversary.
Shalamche is one of the areas that was engaged in the 8-year imposed war on Iran.
Tehran Royal 4-star hotel was another project that was inaugurated after 11 years in the ceremony. Another recreation complex, Hotel Aria Bastan also was opened in Kish Island, southern Iran.
The goal of the projects is to further boost the tourism sector of the country as the Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, Ezzatollah Zarghami said in the ceremony.
