Iran Press/ Iran News: According to Iran Press, Nasser Kanaani, in response to the permission and green light given by Sweden to anti-Islamists to repeat the desecration of the Holy Quran, stated:
" laying the groundwork for repeating the desecration of the sanctities in heaven, especially at the same time as the holy days of the Islamic Ummah and also the gathering of millions of Muslims. In the World Hajj Congress, is a provocative, ill-wished, and unacceptable action."
Referring to the efforts of the international community and human rights organizations to promote respect for religions and authentic religious teachings, he stated: "Desecration of holy books is an example of violence and hatred and is against the original values of human rights."
Kanaani added:" The government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, like other Muslims and free thinkers of the world, do not tolerate such an insult and strongly condemn it."
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the Swedish government is expected to seriously pay attention to the principle of responsibility and accountability in this regard while preventing the repetition of sacrilege to the sanctities.
