Tehran (IP) - The Iranian parliament speaker's special adviser for international affairs Hussein Amirabdollahian, pointing to the US-cooked plot regarding the UAE to normalize ties with the Zionist regime, stressed that the UAE has no role in Palestine equations.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, the top diplomat answers the questions regarding the recent developments in the region. The full text of the interview comes as follows:

1. Trump unveiled the UAE-Israel agreement on the eve of the US presidential election after the annexation of the West Bank to occupied Palestine failed. What are the regional and international consequences of this action?

The UAE has had no role in the regional equations. Now, its covert relation with the Zionist regime has become overt with its compromise with Israel, which will not have a significant impact on the Palestinian issue.

What affects the Palestinian issue is the resistance, and it is the Palestinian resistance that plays a vital role in the political equations. The rulers of the UAE have historically played no role in supporting the resistance and the Palestinian people.

The strategic mistake of the UAE in signing the agreement with the Israeli regime has various dimensions. First, Quds is the first Qibla of Muslims, and this compromise of the UAE is a betrayal of the Islamic Ummah.

Secondly, the Palestinian people have resisted the Zionist regime in the last seven decades, from the stone intifada to the rocket intifada, and leaving the support of Palestine, as an Arab state, alone is a betrayal of the Palestinian cause and nation.

Thirdly, the UAE, by their wrongdoing, opened the door of the region and the Persian Gulf waters to the fake Zionist regime, and by doing so, the UAE itself will severely suffer from the Zionists.

As the Iranian officials have emphasized, Tehran will not remain silent in the face of the UAE's action, and the UAE will pay a heavy price for betraying peace and security of the Persian Gulf region.

2. The United States has so far made various plans to resolve the issue of Palestine and bring peace to the West Asian region. Still, each has failed due to the disregard for the rights and aspirations of the Palestinians. What is the best solution to the Palestinian issue, given that Iran has proposed a democratic plan as a solution?

Iran has proposed two plans in this regard. The first is that the resistance will play a decisive role in Palestine, as it has been playing such a role so far, and the Zionist regime has shown that it no longer accepts any logic other than the logic of power.

However, the Islamic Republic of Iran has presented a democratic plan to resolve the Palestinian issue. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has spoken about it many times, and Iran has registered this plan at the United Nations.

Iran's plan is known as the referendum. It comprises holding a referendum so that the genuine people of Palestine, Jews, Christians, and Muslims, can participate in it and decide on their future and form a Palestinian state.

The elected Palestinian government, made up of the genuine Palestinian people, must decide on the occupiers and the uninvited Zionist regime so that it will be forced to return to wherever it came from.

Iran's democratic plan leaves all decisions to the Palestinian people in the form of a referendum, and this plan is the best political solution to end the Palestinian crisis.

3- Considering the economic, media, and security presence of the Israelis in the UAE after the signing of the agreement with this country, what effect does this presence have on the security, political and economic equations of the Persian Gulf region?

There is no doubt that the compromise between the UAE and the Zionist regime and the economic, security, political, and diplomatic relations between the two sides will make the occupied territories more insecure.

This compromise will also increase the Palestinians’ outrage against the UAE, and make the country insecure.

4. After the US resolution to extend an arms embargo against Iran failed at the UN Security Council, Donald Trump said the United States would soon activate the trigger mechanism. Given the historical isolation of the United States in the Security Council, is it legally possible for Washington to use the trigger mechanism?

The United States and the White House, regardless of Trump or some other president, have so far taken whatever action and hostility they want against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The ridiculous part of Donald Trump's actions is the part that he talks about the trigger mechanism that is part of an agreement under UN Security Council Resolution 2231, from which it withdrew a long time ago.

So when the United States withdraws from a pact and then returns trying to use its text, it is an entirely ridiculous, hilarious issue, and more of propaganda and a continuation of American political pressure.

But indeed, the Americans suffered a significant defeat at the UN Security Council, and the rift between the United States and some of its allies in the Security Council reflects the depth of American desperation in the face of the Iranian people.

5. An explosion in the port of Beirut led to the resignation of the Lebanese government. What national and regional goals do specific individuals and groups pursue by creating turmoil in Lebanon? This is while, there seems to be a connection between the explosion, the continuation of the protests and the eventual resignation of the Lebanese government.

Whether the explosion in the port of Beirut was an accident or a subversive operation with specific objectives, I am one of those who are not optimistic that the blast was just a mere incident.

While we have to wait for the official announcement of the results of the Lebanese authorities' investigation into the incident in the port of Beirut, what happened can be examined from this perspective, which sides benefit from the explosion. The Americans have always wanted Lebanon not to have a government, and it has sought a change of government, a change of parliament, a change in the rules of the game, and the disarmament of Lebanese Hezbollah. As a result, they are making the most of the explosion in the port of Beirut.

The Zionist regime was also recently warned by Hezbollah in Lebanon that any action by Israel against the forces and its interests would have a decisive response from Hezbollah; Israel’s move will definitely have a response. This is while after the incident, the Zionist regime thinks it has won the game.

The United States and the Zionists have been destroying Iraqi and Syrian infrastructure since 2011 as part of the Zionist regime's goals, using the terrorist group ISIS as a tool. In such circumstances, the destruction of the port of Beirut and the severe damage inflicted on the Lebanese capital can be analyzed in this approach. Hence, the issue of the explosion cannot be simply ignored, just in the context of an incident.

Also, it should not be forgotten that the developments in the region are completely interconnected, and it is not possible to examine the events in each of the political units separately. We must look at them as a complete package.

But the important point is that the axis of resistance in the region is the main actor and it has the most influence. The axis of resistance in Lebanon, Syria and the region (Hezbollah, the Hamas movement and the Islamic Jihad movement) say the final word, and a mere plan of compromise between the UAE and the Zionist regime can not diminish the greatness of the axis of resistance in the region. 101
