Iran Press/ Iran news: Mohammad Javad Dehghani, head of Islamic World Science Citation Centre (ISC) said: "The Times ranking is one of the most reputable international ranking systems, which is 2013, for the first time, ranked Asian universities alongside its international rankings."
He added: "In the recent Asian universities ranking report in 2020, there were 40 Iranian universities, of which 5 universities are among the top 100 universities in Asia."
Dehghani said: "The methodology of this ranking is the same as the global ranking of universities, which includes 13 indicators in the form of 5 criteria of education (25), research (30), citations (30), industrial income (7.5) and international reputation (7.5)".
Dehghani said: "In the Asian 2020 ranking, the Noshirvani University of Technology in Babol, Sharif University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology with ranks 48, 75, and 83 have won third to first ranks in Iran, respectively.
The head of the ISC stated: "The number of Iranian universities has increased from 29 universities in 2019 rankings to 40 universities in 2020."
