Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani noted that the Persian Gulf littoral states would like to have cooperation with Iran in maintaining regional security, and they do not like Iran to be ignored by the US and would not accept it.

Iran Press/Iran News: After returning from the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), the Iranian high ranking official upon arrival to Tehran noted that Iran and Turkey have long friendly relations. Long discussion over the expansion of exponential economic cooperation had been held with the Turkish Parliament Speaker, which both sides must pursue the procedure. 

He stated that there also have been negotiations on regional-related issues with some of the Persian Gulf littoral states.

The Iranian parliament speaker reiterated, "The Persian Gulf littoral states would like to have cooperation with Iran in maintaining regional security, and in this regard, they do not like Iran to be ignored by the US and would not accept it.

Larijani added that the Persian Gulf littoral states are eager to expand security and economic ties with Iran more.

Ali Larijani arrived in Tehran on Sunday, on December 15, after a day-long trip to Turkey to attend The 12th Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

Speaker of Parliament met with Turkish Parliament Speaker Mustafa Sentop, Ahmed Bin Abdallah Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali Speaker of Oman's Consultative Assembly (Shura Council) in the sideline of the 12th Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

Alireza Rahimi MP, Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs Hossein-Ali Amiri, and some other officials welcomed Larijani upon his arrival in Tehran.205
