Iran's Foreign Ministry has advised Iranians particularly Iranian elites and scientists to seriously avoid traveling to the United States.

Iran PressIran news: The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, "Given the delusive US political and security pretexts or Washington's cruel and unilateral laws against Iranians, especially the Iranian elites, and arbitrary and long term arrests along with inhuman conditions of detention in the US prisons, Iranian nationals, especially the elites and scientists, are urged not to travel to the United States even for attending scientific conferences."

Massoud Soleimani, the stem cell scientist, has traveled to the United States on October 7, 2018; however, the US arrested and transferred him to prison prior to his entry into the United States for more than 12 months without any acceptable reason and in violation of academic and research protocols.

Two days ago, Iran has released a Princeton University graduate student who was imprisoned on espionage charges in exchange for an Iranian scientist held in the US for allegedly violating sanctions.
