The head of Iran's National Standards Organisation (INSO) Nayerh Pirouzbakht has emphasised that her organisation can assist the Education Ministry to improve children's education and raise educational standards.

Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Sunday, the head of Iranian National Standards Organization, Nayereh Pirouzbakht said: "As the honourable minister has mentioned, the agreement which was singed today is a two-way agreement between the Education Ministry and Standardization Organisation."

She added: "The National Standards Organization can be active and provide assistance to the Education Ministry and help it to improve children's education and the educational system. Standardization is connected to schools and pupils, for example: classroom benches and desks which must meet certain special standards and these standards have been achieved in recent years in conjunction with the Education Ministry."

Pirouzbakht added: "Moreover, as the honourable minister of Education Mohammad Bat'haei mentioned, in the Education system there are some resources which can help us devise and promote standards. When our children from an early age both at home and in school  learn and get familiar with the definition of standards, it would be easier for us to promote the culture of standards in society." 211/103
