TEHRAN (IP) - An exhibition showcasing technologies and products aimed at alleviating deprivation has opened its doors in Iran for the first time. The event, titled "AbadIran" (which translates to "advanced and prosperous Iran"), was initiated by the office of Iran's Vice-President for Science and Technology.

Iran PressIran News: With the slogan "Innovation for prosperity," AbadIran aims to bridge the gap between Iran's innovation and knowledge-based ecosystem and the challenges faced by underprivileged and less-developed areas. The exhibition seeks to facilitate the development of these regions by introducing knowledge-based companies and their innovative solutions.

Commencing on Tuesday, the exhibition will run until Thursday, June 15, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

During the opening ceremony, Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, the Vice-President for Science and Technology, emphasized the crucial role of science and technology in contemporary society. He highlighted two key functions: first, the standardization of employment and production, and second, the creation of cost-effective products and jobs, which collectively contribute to positive societal progress.

Firouzabadi further explained that AbadIran aims to redirect the focus of government-affiliated knowledge-based companies toward less-privileged areas, which possess untapped human potential. He expressed confidence that these knowledge-based companies would make significant contributions in areas such as education, food and agriculture, health, mining, and markets within these regions, ultimately leaving a lasting impact.

The exhibition provides an invaluable platform for knowledge-based companies to showcase their innovative products and services, fostering collaboration and encouraging progress in deprived areas. By harnessing the power of science, technology, and innovation, AbadIran strives to create a brighter and more prosperous future for all Iranians.
