Iran Press/Iran News: Saeed Khatibzadeh denied White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan's claim in an interview with Sputnik on Friday.
On February 10, Sullivan claimed that the new US administration, led by Joe Biden, pursued indirect diplomacy with Iran.
He also stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran did not intend to send any messages to the United States, given that it was Washington that had withdrawn from one of the longest processes and most detailed international agreements.
He noted that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) had a defined roadmap, hence it was unnecessary to negotiate with the United States to return to the nuclear deal.
"We do not need to send or receive messages," Khatibzadeh added.
"All that is needed is for the United States to live up to its commitments, return to the JCPOA, and lift sanctions on Iran," Khatibzadeh underscored.
